Indonesia is setting the stage for significant industrial collaboration and investment opportunities by participating as the Official Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026. The event, scheduled for July 6-9, 2026, in Yekaterinburg, Russia, will see Indonesian companies and government officials showcasing prospects aligned with the nation’s evolving industrial strategy. The Ministry of Industry is leveraging the New National Industrialization Strategy (SBIN) to bolster Indonesia’s manufacturing sector’s competitiveness and sustainability, addressing key trends such as digitalization, energy transition, and global supply chain shifts in pursuit of the Golden Indonesia 2045 development goals.
Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Indonesia’s Minister of Industry, emphasized that the strategy aims to foster international partnerships through investment, technology exchange, and industrial capacity enhancement. SBIN targets four principal areas: enhancing value-added production from natural resources, advancing industrial technology in line with the Making Indonesia 4.0 roadmap, promoting green industrialization, and strengthening the industrial workforce. By bringing over 50 industrial companies to INNOPROM 2026, Indonesia seeks to engage with potential partners across Eurasia in these critical areas.
The exhibition will spotlight opportunities for industrial technology collaboration, particularly for companies in machinery, automation, petrochemicals, and advanced materials sectors looking to modernize Indonesian manufacturing. Indonesia is also promoting investment in industrial parks and participation in downstream processing and supply-chain growth. Strategic minerals such as nickel, bauxite, copper, cobalt, and lithium are focal points for technology and investment partnerships, driven by the country’s downstream industrial expansion and the need for processing technologies, manufacturing equipment, and materials engineering.
The agricultural and food-processing sectors also present avenues for international cooperation. Through the AGRO pavilion, Indonesian businesses will highlight opportunities in food-processing technologies, logistics, distribution, and access to regional markets. Entering INNOPROM with a robust manufacturing base, Indonesia ranks as Southeast Asia’s largest, with a manufacturing value added of approximately $265 billion, placing it 13th globally. Non-oil and gas manufacturing exports reached $147.9 billion by August 2025, accounting for nearly 80% of Indonesia’s total exports.
Tri Supondy, Director General of Industrial Resilience, Regional Development, and International Industrial Access, noted that Indonesia’s presence at INNOPROM aims to solidify the country’s role as a long-term industrial partner for Eurasian economies. This participation provides a platform for discussing investment projects, technology transfers, and supply-chain partnerships across various manufacturing sectors, reinforcing Indonesia’s position in the global industrial arena.
